I work as a fund manager for a major bank and I have done the weekly planning and I have found it to be great because I not longer rely on my daily list which just grows and grows.
I have found that if I wait until Friday afternoon to do the weekly planning then my mind is more likely to be focused on what I am doing this weekend rather than the hard job of prioritizing and scheduling.
I have also missed doing the weekly planner sessions the week before and when I wait until Monday morning it is really difficult. This is because as soon as I get in I seem to get sucked into reactivity and emails and voice mail.
For me, what works best is to do the weekly planning on Friday morning. It takes me about half an hour.
Thanks for a great tool
