ABOUT Us

My Time Management was born of a need I saw when working in companies and government – it struck me that whatever the environment I kept seeing the same symptoms over and over.

Over 20 years’ experience kept hammering home the message that people struggle to be in control in a world where “more with less” is the workplace mantra, where expectations are increasingly less discussed, where time pressure means increasing isolation and self-management and where the inevitable response to “How are things?’” is “Busy.”

I knew I and the team were helping our clients in workplaces and wanted to bring relief to the many more who struggle silently behind their computer screens and office doors.

I really want to reassure those who are feeling overwhelmed that relief is available and the mission of this website is to make that relief easily accessible. The really good news is that any effort you apply to learning to manage time is a gift to yourself that just keeps giving…to you, to your family, to your well-being, to your performance and sense of joy and satisfaction in every aspect of life from the workplace to the home-front to the sports field.

My Background

Kell_TremayneKell Tremayne

My day job: Senior Lecturer in Psychology, Consultant in Sustainable High Performance

My big why: To enhance quality of working life so that performance doesn’t come at the cost of health, family or personal well-being

My playing field: University environments, Corporate and Government Organizations, Doctors training for their specialty field.

My Background

Time management has been a passion of mine since my early university days. This is where I realized that I could get through much of my work with good organization and focus and still have time to play.

I noticed though that sometimes performance isn’t all it’s cracked up to be – I noticed that my own performance was tightly connected to my levels of motivation and direction – and that sometimes I would sit in front of a computer for an hour to deliver one sentence and other times the words would simply flow onto the page as if they had a life of their own.

I realized that if I could harness this knowledge I could make my road to sustainable high performance a lot less grunt and a lot more joy. The good news is – it works!

My passion for enabling others to get more out of their day and lives is thus rooted in my own experience. Now, with a PhD in psychology specializing in elite performance, I have confirmed my own reflections and know top performance only happens when people have clarity of vision on those things that matter most. Excellence in execution follows.

I have brought these insights to doctors sitting their specialty exams, bankers who have to tune out the white noise and focus on their big-ticket deals, lawyers who have to think logically under intense pressure, Olympic athletes who have to manage the pressure, expectations, and intensity of competition, and knowledge workers who have to deal with information overload, 100s of emails and feeling stretched and overwhelmed.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many organizations (see below for a tiny subset) and published many articles on time management, goal setting, and organization.

Currently, I’m developing a series of courses focused on goal setting, time management, overcoming procrastination and essential life skills. Exciting updates on these projects are coming soon—stay tuned!

While I still do some consulting I tend to spend more time teaching at university and looking after my three boys. My passion for sustainable time management, productivity, and well-being influences everything I do.
